Our Services

Community First Orthopaedic & Wellness provides our clients with a range of services to help treat conditions. Whether you are looking for orthotics, medical products like pain creams, or compression gear, it all begins with a custom plan by our practitioners.

Our team works with you to complete an initial pedooathist assessment to help determine the type of orthotics, compression socks, or bracing you will benefit from the most to help with your condition.

C. Ped (C) – Canadian Certified Pedorthist

A Canadian Certified Pedorthist is a healthcare professional who specializes in how your lower body moves — especially your feet, ankles, knees, and hips — and how that movement affects your comfort, mobility, and overall function.

What a C. Ped (C) Can Do for You

1. Complete Lower‑Body Assessments They take a detailed look at how you stand and walk, how your joints move, and how your muscles and tissues respond. This includes:

  • Watching your posture and gait

  • Checking your range of motion

  • Feeling for areas of tension or pain

  • Performing special tests when needed

  • Reviewing your footwear

  • Asking about your health history and lifestyle

The goal is to understand what’s causing discomfort or limiting movement.

2. Create Personalized Treatment Plans After the assessment, they design a plan to help with:

  • Injuries

  • Chronic conditions

  • Mobility challenges

  • Pain or discomfort in the lower body

Treatment is non‑invasive and focuses on improving how you move and feel. Plans often include education, footwear guidance, orthotic recommendations, and strategies to support better biomechanics. They also collaborate with other healthcare providers when needed.

3. Design and Build Custom Orthotics Pedorthists are trained to design orthotic devices that support your feet and lower limbs. They use specialized casting methods, materials, and manufacturing techniques to create orthotics that match your unique needs.

4. Modify Orthotics and Footwear They can adjust or fine‑tune orthotics and even modify footwear to improve comfort, support, and alignment — all based on your goals and the results of your assessment.

5. Expand Their Expertise A C. Ped (C) may pursue additional training or certifications to broaden their scope, as long as it stays within their professional competence.
